When I put my 91 K1500 in drive, it engages, moves a lil bit then acts like I'm hooked to something and doesn't wanna move. I hit the gas a little harder and heard a click of sorts from somewhere, then it rolls fine. Gear oil in the rear diff is full and brakes are good. Also, the battery recently started dying very quickly after shut off (10 -20 mins). When i pop the hood after driving the battery its quite hot and is leaking acid out of the top (removable cap). Had the battery and alternator tested and they came back good.

My car has 293000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.
