Q: When I pour water or coolant into my 2001 chevy Malibu it comes straight out of my overflow like a facet

I got my water pump fixed on my car, then it began to overheat and no heat would blow in the car so i was told it was my thermostat . But later on I thought i should put more water in it . When I did it poured out if my overflow like a facet from the bottom of my car.
My car has an automatic transmission.
