Q: What would cause the power to drop to zero at freeway speed and not start once it's at the shoulder?
At freeway speed the RPM's suddenly began dropping. Initially it felt like it was going into 'limp home' mode, which had happened before. The engine was still running, so I was able to move to the right-hand lane. The power did not return and the engine shut down once I came to a stop on the shoulder.
