I am considering buying a 2000 Dodge Dakota 4x4 but the front drivers side wheel bearing is locked up. The current owner claims it is the wheel bearing only that needs repaired but I have concerns there could be additional damage caused by the bearing locking up. Is it likely there is substantial and expensive additional damage caused by the locked up bearing. Also, being that it is a 4x4 is it harder and more expensive to repair the damage ?
