Q: What kind of transmission fluid

asked by on

My truck is a standard, but the guy gave me auto trans fluid, can I still use it
My car has a manual transmission.

Your truck may have a few different type of manual transmissions and they may take different fluids. I would recommend contacting the dealer using your vehicle identification number to verify the correct transmission fluid before you begin driving. The fluid should likely work, but it would be best to do a quick double check.
