What is “bounce-back” with the moon roof?
Your moon roof offers some of the same features and capabilities as your power windows, including “bounce-back.” Your moon roof is equipped with sensors that determine if there is anything blocking the path when closing. If they detect something, the moon roof will stop, and automatically begin reversing. This is an important feature for anyone, but particularly for parents with children.
You can override the automatic “bounce-back” feature by pressing and holding the close button within two seconds of the moon roof automatically reversing. Make sure there are no objects in the way when you do this however.
Overriding the “bounce-back” feature means that auto-reverse is turned off. The moon roof will try to shut, even if there’s something in the way.
