Q: What exactly is a coral spring and what does it do for you car? And is it removed during a manifold replacement?

asked by on February 18, 2017

Hi rocoos I had a bad exhaust leak for a while finally just got it fixed replaced the manifold for like 1000. Today I was driving and my car was shutting down, felt as if transmission was just going on me, had no power. Mechanics who just fixed it said it was a coral spring and it was absolutely fine. I'm concerned because they are trying to get another 200 dollars from me and I understand it was 30 minutes of their time but I don't understand why something like that would happened that never has right after they went under my hood and replaced something.

My car has 139000 miles.
