What does the tachometer show?

The tachometer is located on the instrument panel, and displays the speed that your engine is moving, in terms of revolutions per minute. The tachometer is a semicircle, with a hand and numbers. The hand corresponds to the speed at which the engine is moving, times 1,000 (for instance, when the tachometer displays “3,” your engine is moving at 3,000 revolutions per minute).
