What does the channel lockout menu on the satellite radio do?

Your car’s satellite radio system offers you a world of different entertainment options. However, not all of it is rated for all ages. You may find that you want to lockout certain channels so that they can only be accessed with a specific code that only you know. Here’s how to do that:

  1. Turn the key on
  2. Turn on the audio system
  3. Press the SIRIUS button
  4. Press the menu button
  5. Cycle through your options until you see “channel lockout menu”
  6. Press OK

You’ll now have several different options:

  • Lockout/unlock this channel: Press OK to lock or unlock the current channel.
  • Change PIN: This lets you change the PIN on a channel.
  • Unlock all channels: This lets you unlock all the channels that have been locked.
  • Reset PIN: This resets the PIN to the default, which is 1234.
