Q: What does the Brake Warning Light mean?

What does the Brake Warning Light mean?

The brake Warning Light is located on the instrument panel, and can come on for two different reasons: the parking brake is currently engaged, or the brake system is low on fluid. When the brake Warning Light illuminates, first make sure that the parking brake is disengaged. If the brake is disengaged and the light is still on, then your brake fluid is low. Tips The brake Warning Light will illuminate when the vehicle is first turned on. The light is only a problem if it stays lit after the engine has been turned on.
