Q: What direction are threads on harmonic balancer bolt?

asked by on

I'm trying to get the harmonic balancer bolt loose. I do some of my own auto repair and I can't tell which direction the threads go. Do they go clockwise or counter-clockwise?

The bolt is threaded counter clockwise. It is usually torqued extremely tight. Generally air tools are required to remove this bolt.
