I was driving home and the battery light came on. The gauge dropped to low. There was a flashing orange gauge symbol and I could barely turn my steering wheel. I got it home and could smell a burning smell not real strong but enough for me to notice.

My car has 165000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.
