Q: Volkswagen top does not close

The convertible top of my Volkswagen does not close

Hi. Unfortunately, I could not find a lot of information on this particular system. I suggest looking in your owner’s manual first, since it will list a way to manually close the top. Most vehicles have this option for emergency situations where the electronics fail. The underlying reason the top won’t go up could be a mechanical failure of the top, a failure of the motor or it’s circuit. Also, the module for the convertible top may need to be "re-learned".
