Q: Vehicle will Intermittently Stall or sputter after start up RPMS will die - Occasionally will not accelerate past 60kmph-3kRPM

asked by on February 07, 2018

When Starting the Van after it has sat overnight it will intermittently stall - It will do this when I am reversing or driving away. I can usually tell when this is going to happen because the RPMS will bounce up and down when Idle. The Van will lurch - Accelerate on its own, then the RPMs will jump and the engine will die out. Occasionally it will jump RPMS and not let me Accelerate past 60 and the the RPM needle will not go past 3k.

All of this is usually resolved if I turn the Van off and start it again. The vehicle appears to cooperate after a bit of driving and the issue wont re-occur until the next morning.

Oil changes are kept up with, No check engine lights, Used some Fuel Injector cleaner / Stabilizer and the issues went away for a while but returned.
