Q: Vehicle is getting too hot

My car is overheating.

Hi. This could be caused by many things. Check the coolant level. Check the outside of the radiator for debris clogging the airflow. Check the thermostat for proper opening. Check the cooling fan and the water pump for flow inside the radiator. When head gaskets first start to fail, they can cause inconsistent overheating. Check the actual temperature of the engine to rule out a gauge malfunction.
