I have a 1995 Cadillac Deville 4.9L ion know much about car just a few basics and common sense. Car was running good no problems a little hesitation with the turnover but I had the ignition coil changed it fixed that issue or started it. The problem I’m having now is the vats system came on , panel says “IGNITION DISABLED DUE TO ANTITHEFT REMOVE KEY WAIT THREE MINUTES” I tried the resistor deal , key was at 1560 on a 20000k ohm meter both the chip and resistors made the same value on every setting of the ohm meter.. I found an orange wire with two white wires inside believed to be the vats wire so I wired the resistance and it didn’t work.. INITIAL QUESTION , is it possible to bridge vats wire to the ignition and / or ground the ignition so that it has power to start , and where does the fuel pump override/bypass come in ..
If you know anything or knowledge I’d appreciate ya !
