I have a 2004 Ford Explorer Sport Trac that died while I was at the Gas Station last week. I had somebody come jump it and it drove for about 2 miles before dying again. I jumped it about 5 more times to get it all the way home. I had the alternator checked, which was bad, so I replaced it. The truck still didn't start, so I got a new battery. Truck started no problem, but battery light was still on (I figured it needed more time to charge up). Fast Forward to today, 3 days later, and I go out to start the Truck and all she does is click, again. So I give it a jump, she runs for about 5-10 minutes and she stalls out again. This Time the odometer and the Gas gauge went out, and the lights are very dim. I'm hearing it could be the starter or just a bad connection to the battery. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
