Q: Trouble starting car with brand new battery.

asked by on January 03, 2017

I have a brand new battery but have trouble starting the car. when I turn the key I hear a little click. The car never starts first try. After anywhere from 2 to 10 tries it will start. Even though my radio, dash, head, and overhead lights all work; the engine doesn't turn over. I don't know whether the problem is my starter or alternator.

My car has 85000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.
