Q: Transmission won't shift into lockup.

asked by on November 30, 2016

My transmission won't shift into lockup. This began after a rapid Acceleration from the shoulder of the freeway. An engine scan showed the OD as in lockup. The APS, accelerator pedal sensor, is correct at 4.9 volts. What's my next thing to look at or do? The transmission does shift into 2nd, 3rd and 4th just not lockup.

My car has 278000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.
