My Toyota dealer mechanic told me that I needed a new trans speed sensor.......also told me that it would be ridiculously expensive if they did it, so he wrote down the part number which I got for about 80% less.............unfortunately, I can't find the location of the trans speed sensor. I have a 2000 Sienna with the A450E tranny. According to the FSM.....well, just take a look at the tech service bulletin. This makes NO sense to me.
I am desperate for help...........NOBODY in ANY Toyota forum has been able to help..........I have been trying to find the damn thing for nearly 2 months!
***** It is NOT the sensor with the gear on it. Here is the actual part.. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Auto-Trans-Speed-Sensor-Dorman-Automatic-Transmission-Speed-Sensor-Lower-Left/112529248016?epid=115091117&fits=Year%3A2000%7CMake%3AToyota%7CModel%3ASienna&hash=item1a33440f10%3Ag%3A9VcAAOSwSWtZlegk#vi-ilComp
