Q: Transmission sensor error

asked by on

I am getting a transmission sensor error.

Hi. It would help me to determine the problem with your car if I knew which transmission error you were receiving. This car does not have many common transmission problems other than the transmission failing once it is worn out. I would typically drain the fluid from the transmission to inspect it for any metal or debris indicating an internal failure. I have also seen the pressure control valve body fail, but that is not as common. If you need further assistance, I recommend you have a technician, like one from YourMechanic, inspect the transmission and conduct a transmission fluid service to determine what exactly is the problem.
