Q: Transmission not working correctly.

Gear shift will not shift.

The gear shift locked and not coming out of park is most likely a brake light fuse is blown and would need to be checked. It is fuse number 8 in the fuel box. If it blows again then a mechanic would need to trace the short. The other possible problem is the shift cable came off the shift lever or the shift lever bracket came loose. I would have a qualified mechanic to inspect and diagnose your problem for you.
