Q: Trans fuid type for A4LD

What ATF would be compatible with this transmission, I'm unable to find old mercon. Thank you

My car has 293569 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

Mercon and Dexron III are the exact same fluid, they just have different names. Mercon V supersedes the Mercon spec and would also be suitable to use in your vehicle.
