Q: Tow haul feature

asked by on

do i need to use the tow haul feature when driving on mostly flat highways, i am hauling a 9700 pound trailer.

My car has 5000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

The tow haul function is supposed to be used at all times when the vehicle is towing something behind the vehicle or the bed is loaded with a lot of weight. This is so you do not damage the transmission lock up converter for the transmission. If you do not use the tow haul function then excessive wear will happen to the transmission over time.
