Q: the truck runs in 4 instead of D

asked by on

the truck runs in 4 instead of D what can it be done how could i solve it

My car has 103631 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

A: You will need to have the transmission scan...

You will need to have the transmission scanned to see if there is any codes for the overdrive system of the transmission. The transmission control module may need to be reprogrammed. Check the shift linkage cable to see if the cable ends are worn and not going into the gear you select all the way. Replace the cable if needed and scan and diagnose any transmission codes. If code P0741 is in computer memory then have the transmission module reprogrammed.

Hi there. Not sure why you replaced the camshaft position sensor. The most likely cause for no spark, would be a faulty crankshaft position sensor. The vehicle's PCM (powertrain control module) should be recognizing the fault. Accessing the vehicle's PCM/computer...

Q: What is making my front end vibrate?

I would first test the motor or transmission mounts. If it is not the motor mounts, the vibration might be arising as engine load and speed "interact" with the gearing at that particular speed causing a dynamic balance issue. The...
