What should I know about starting the engine in cold weather with E85?
If your vehicle is designed to be a flexible fuel vehicle (not all are), you may encounter some problems starting the engine in very cold weather. This is particularly true if you’re running E85. Here’s what you should know: Crank...
Need to fix antifreeze leak.
I would recommend having a qualified professional come and perform a cooling system pressure test (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/coolant-is-leaking-inspection) on your vehicle. There are many places on a vehicle where coolant can leak from, including the hoses, radiator, water pump, and heater core...
The car shudders in the front end, during braking at around 75 mph
Hello. If all of these parts have been replaced and the problem persists, then you either have a bent wheel hub or there is a worn out engine mount (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/symptoms-of-a-bad-or-failing-engine-mount). Both of these will cause this. I usually check the...

Car bogging down
This may be related to a few different things such as a bad injector (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/fuel-injector-replacement), fuel pressure issue, or potentially a faulty mass air flow sensor (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/mass-airflow-sensor-replacement). A common symptom of a bad mass air flow sensor is very similar...
P2178 and P115D codes are showing up on a scanner. Could both be related to the MAF sensor?
Hi there. The code P115D (http://www.obd-data.com/p115d.html) is for the mass air flow sensor (MAF (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/mass-airflow-sensor-replacement)). It says that the sensor has an offset signal. The code P2178 (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/p2178-obd-ii-trouble-code-system-too-rich-off-idle-bank-1-by-jay-safford) says that bank 1 is too rich. This means that the engine...
Blower motor not working
Hi There, If I understand your question correctly, the main problem is the operation of the blower motor and not the generating of heat from the heater core. If this is the case, it sounds like you have replaced all...
