Q: The temperature gauge is low and the engine does not get enough power

It happen on a duramax .the temp is low never gets more than 180 .and doesn't allow to regen then loss power and runs no more than 20mph. It is a temp sensor iissue ? Or lack of motor compression?

My car has 208000 miles.
