Q: The security light is on but car stil starts

asked by on January 22, 2018

The security light is on, and it stays on even when the car is running or if it is off. The car functions properly but I just need to reset the security light so it will shut off. This happened after disconnecting the ignition harness. I have tried leaving the key in the on position for 10 minutes and it still stays on no matter what. I tried disconnecting the battery for 30 min, I tried disconnecting the battery and touching the cables together for 30 min to reset to computer. How can I get it to shut off? Thankyou

Car revs up and won't rev down. Changed ICV
