Q: The oil pressure gauge triggers the red oil lamp when idling

Oil pressure needle fluctuates up and down with rpms and drops to low after some time and triggers oil lamp at idle. Starts in the middle when first started then after a little time it drops to low and raises up and down with rpms. What is the problem? A sensor?

My car has 130000 miles.
