My car's steering wheel is in the locked position. I can't turn the ignition key.

It sounds like your steering wheel is torque locked. Try jerking the wheel back and forth while turning the key, being careful not to use too much force and breaking the key off. If this doesn’t work, the ignition lock cylinder may have to be replaced. A trained technician can pinpoint why your key won’t turn and make the necessary repairs.
