Q: Starting issues with Chevy truck.

asked by on

The truck does not start.

Hello, there are three different reasons for a no start. The first being the starter not starting the engine. Two things to check here, the base motor turns over manually and power at the starter motor. The second is a crank no start. There are more item to be checked here like fuel pressure, ignition and the powertrain control module. The third is your passive anti theft, if equipped, is not allowing the car to start. You may need to enlist the aid of a mechanic to perform testing with a scan tool and possible electrical testing.
