Q: Started my 2009 cobalt, smelled gas looked under car and gas was pouring out, replaced pump last October. Help!!

asked by on July 18, 2017

Replaced my fuel pump last October, was working perfectly until the other morning when I started it, smelled gas really bad. Put my car in neutral looked under it and saw the gas just pouring out, there was no sign of any problems with my car. Before I had it replaced, the engine light came on and it was having trouble starting, then it poured out all the gas like it did the other day but this time there weren't any signs of any that wrong. HELP!! I don't have the money to replace it again and I don't want to get screwed again

My car has 92000 miles.
My car has a manual transmission. Thank you Lisa b

Car losing coolant fast.
Hello, if you don't see any exterior leaks, then you most likely have a blown head gasket. Pull your engine oil dipstick and see if it looks like oil or chocolate milk. If it looks like chocolate milk the gasket...
Car does not start.
If the engine dies while driving and it is associated with an electrical service light, the issue is almost certainly the alternator. Coolant keeps leaking

What are the best 50/50 antifreeze options to use for my car? 2002 Honda Accord
Hi there - there are pretty-much just 2 issues when selecting engine coolant (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/5-commonly-overlooked-vehicle-maintenance-items-by-toby-schultz). First question is "What "type" coolant should I buy?". Glycol-based coolant tends to be the green stuff. Low-phosphate, for all aluminum engines is pink or orange....
