Q: solenoid

asked by on October 23, 2017

Hello, I contacted your service last week after my car felt like it was shifting into gear when stopping (almost felt like it was jolting forward). One of your mechanics ran a diagnostic check and came back with the code P700. Being he was unable to fix this, he suggested I take it to a shop. GMC recommended a dealership repair shop and they told me I need the TRANSMISSION SOLENOID replaced. Being that the repair is pretty costly, I wanted to ask your opinion to see if this is a likely possibility or if I should be skeptical of their findings. Thank you in advance for any assistance you can provide.

My car has 34000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.
