Q: SHOULD DASH LAMPS AND TAIL LIGHTS COME ON AUTOMATIC ON 2002 SATURN?

asked by on

AT DARK i TURN THE DASH LIGHTS ON BY TURNING THE LIGHT SWITCH UP ONE CLICK., IS THIS THE WAY IT SHOULD WORK.?

My car has 98000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

Hello. Thank you for writing in. Your vehicle did not come with automatic headlights. Most models did come with day time running lights, which are similar but not the same. There are aftermarket photocell sensors you can install in the switch circuit to make the headlights automatic. However, the vehicle is working fine as it is and this would be a way to update the system. If you suspect there are any issues with the headlights, contact our service department to schedule an inspection.
