Q: Short Term Working a Garage.

asked by on

I was going to work with my dad on his Honda this weekend. I was just wondering what is the ppm of CO from modern cars, and if it is lethal?

Hello there, thanks for writing in. For light duty vehicles, it is 3.4 grams per mile. I think the old readings use to be .02 ppm. Now the test requires you to run on a dyno and is in grams per mile. And yes to your last question - it is lethal.
