Hi.It sounds like your brake transmission shift interlock solenoid may be the problem. It is a common problem with these cars. It is located inside the steering column or it may be the cassette located in the shifter assembly. I recommend having a technician, like one from YourMechanic, inspect the shifting issue and replace any failing parts.
