Q: Q: Shifter not going into gear

asked by on

My shifter will not go into gear. It doesn't move.

Hi.It sounds like your brake transmission shift interlock solenoid may be the problem. It is a common problem with these cars. It is located inside the steering column or it may be the cassette located in the shifter assembly. I recommend having a technician, like one from YourMechanic, inspect the shifting issue and replace any failing parts.
