Q: service awd drive system what does that mean?

t was 8 - zero drove fine to church come out of church started car that message came on I tu rned car off started it up and it stayed on drove it home put it in the garage heated to 40 degrees and cleaned snow off from under the car and check the maunal and it said to start it and shut it off well when I turn the car on the message was goneso is it fixed or not?

My car has 98000 miles.
