Q: RPM Issues

asked by on

hi I noticed when driving doing approx. 60kms and starting to slow down to come to a complete stop I am getting a slight rev. on the engine and it is noticeable on the RPM gauge.

This is the transmission downshifting to the next lower gear. There may be an issue with the transmission speed sensor, downshift solenoid, or another transmission problem. Have a qualified mechanic, such as one from YourMechanic.com, test the transmission and check for any trouble codes.
