Q: Rough idle/stalling

asked by on October 22, 2017

Recently my car has started idleing rough and even stalled a few times when starting the engine from cold. The car starts with rough idle and smells like gas it has even stalled due to being flooded. When I floor the gas pedal to perform the unflooding protocol it starts up fine. The engine only has the issues when it’s cold it’s starts up fine when it’s at running temperature. Just had the thermostat replaced and I’m thinking it’s the ECT sensor but would like to confirm this. Also haven’t gotten any check engine lights

My car has 136000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.
