Q: Released top bolt on shock absorber

So this is my first time replacing shocks and I removed the top bolt on the shock absorber. It caused the spring to release and now I'm having a tough time getting it off and trying to get the new shock back on. I realize this was foolish on my part but I need some answers that will help me please
