Q: Rebuilt tranny now smell and white thin smoke

Just had my tranny rebuilt. First time I drove it it over heated and then amcco couldn't get it to do it again. Car sat for about two weeks then while driving it had a funny smell and my mom said she thought she saw thin white smoke coming from behind the car. When I got to the store I also saw the same thing coming from under the hood. What could it be
