Q: Problem with auto gear changes

Hi I have a Bf xr6 turbo falcon automatic6 speed... now when I accelerate my car shifts first gear to second and then as its about to change to third it gets stuck between 3000 and 4000revs and if I continue to accelerate it keeps climbing in revs and won't change until I use sequential mode .. please help
