Q: Overheating

asked by on March 03, 2018

Recently turned 18 and bought my first car from a man off of offer up. I've had it for about a good 2 weeks and it just started pouring out this greenish fluid and when i say pouring I mean POURING. I noticed it once I left my car running while I ran in to get food. Once I was home i got out and saw that I had a trail of fluid down the street and up the driveway with a puddle forming where I stopped there was also smoke coming from under the hood.. I popped the hood and I could see the smoking coming from the passenger side of the car. I was told that I would need to buy a thermostat. What do I do? I bought the car with my taxes for me and my 1 year old. I need to know what to do or if its even safe to have my 1 year old in the car at all while its like this ??? Please help also the light came on to tell me my car was over heating while I was driving home.
