Q: Only runs if I do a small burst of starting fluid or splash about 2 table spoons of fuel down the air filter tube.

truck only runs if starting fluid or fuel is dumped into the air filter tube . then immediately shuts off . ( within seconds ) I've installed new fuel filter , new solenoid ( which is located right beside the fuel filter canister ) checked and replaced any needed fueses , installed 2 new batteries .

My car has 165000 miles.
