Q: Q: Oil Change

asked by on

Just want to know what the recommended oil is for my car ie...0W40 or 5W30? I will use BMW recommended LL01 oil. Additionally, how many quarts does my car take?

My car has 16000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

Your BMW X3 would be best served using the BMW recommended LL01 oil in the 5W30 weight. There are two possibilities in terms of the oil capacity in your car. The 2.0 Liter motor should hold 6 quarts of oil, whereas the 2.8 Liter motor should hold 7 quarts of oil.
