Q: Odometer stopped working 1994 Chevrolet K2500
Discovered today my odometer and trip meter stopped working. Everything else in the dash appears to be fine. There is a small clicking sound in my dash, and my odometer stopped halfway through rolling over the last 4 numbers. Am i looking at the plastic gear in the dash, or possibly a wire popped loose on the wheel?
Tried resetting the trip meter and it rolled back to 0000, but didn't roll after that.
UPDATE: shut my truck off and let it sit for about an hour. Started it back up and drove again and my odometer and trip are working just fine. Now i have no idea what it could be. It was about 30 degrees when all this happened. So ice build up then melting off is not a cause.
