Q: Odometer is not working.

asked by on

My odometer is not displaying.

Hello, this common on this generation of Chevrolet truck. The first thing to check is the applicable fuse for the cluster. If the fuses are good, there is most likely a poor connection inside the cluster. You can get your cluster repaired or have it replaced. If you elect to have it repaired, the truck will not be drivable until the cluster is installed back into the dash board. You may need the aid of a mechanic, such as one from YourMechanic, to remove and install the cluster if you are going to have it repaired. If you elect to have it replaced, you will probably have to go to the dealer since the cluster needs to be coded.
