Q: O2 sensors changed, but check engine light still showing code after clearing it I checked fuse. Wires are good and used Denso OE.

asked by on March 08, 2017

Check engine light was on for o2 sensor behind the cat. Found it to only have 1 wire out of 4 connected. Went ahead and changed all of the o2 sensors with Denso OE direct fit o2 sensors. I then checked the o2 sensor fuse and replaced it since it was blown. Then I did an oil change and changed the air filter. After 5 minutes of driving the check engine light came on and the car felt as if it was shaking / misfiring again. Now the codes have reappeared and include a general misfire. I've check all the wires and they are good. The sensors are brand new and exact replacement. And the fuse has held up and is good. I'm going nuts trying to figure this out.

My car has 129000 miles.
