Q: No heat but not over heating. There is a slow antifreeze leak though.

asked by on November 10, 2017

2009 Infiniti G37x- There’s no heat, the car isn’t over heating but there is a slow antifreeze leak while running and for a while after it’s ran. I can’t see where the leak is coming from.

My daughter said the heat has come and gone over the last few days but this could have been because the antifreeze had almost leaked completely out.

However, I refilled with permafrost and still no heat. I checked under the car and there’s a slow leak. Shut the car off and placed a bowl under the leak to see if it would still leak being shut off and it did for a while after but then stopped.

With Christmas right around the corner I don’t really want to spend the money taking it to the shop, Infiniti is expensive. But my daughter needs to be able to get back and forth to school.

My car has 122000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

Having these sensors tested professionally using the manufacturer's recommended procedure would by my best recommendation. If one of...

I have a 2013 Honda Civic with 80,000 miles. It makes a squeaking noise while driving.
The factory brake pads do have a noisemaker tab that scrapes the brake rotor when the brake pads reach replacement thickness. It's pretty loud, so if you just have a mild squeaking that might be something else. At 80 K...
