Q: My xtrail stopped suddenly with traces of oil we can't trace. The engine won't start again

The car stopped suddenly. We found oil leak but can't trace source. Mechanic said is the crank. We also found bearings when the engine was opened.the bearings were found in the oil in the oil base.

What is happening?
My car has a manual transmission.
