My toyota 4 Runner v8 check engine light and VSC VTRAC lights have been on for a year. I replaced gas cap, and lights went off. Passed emissions last year. Lights came back on a week later. Ive driven it since last year no problems. Due for emissions thid year, so Took it to Pep Boys near me, and they ran diagnotic and found codes PO441, 455, 1442, 1445 but could not find leaks. Said it may need a smoke test at dealership?? They reset system lights off, needed emissions test, and it failed bc needs to be driven 150-200 miles, eveything else passed. Lights came back on. Any suggestions or help? I’m a flight attendant and travel nonstop, and need to fix, but not sure what steps to take. Dealerships are so expensive, so I’m hoping to avoid that route.
